...and no one knows this better than Rags To Riches star Bridget Michele. Unfortunately, she learned it the hard way.
While chatting away about "Diane", who's the character she portrays on TV's Rags To Riches, blonde-haired Bridget Michele reveals, "I think she really knows what she wants!" The funny thing is, this 21-year-old actress could practically be describing herself!
Determination has been the name of the game for Bridget ever since she began ice skating at the age of five. "My goal was to compete in the Olympics. Everyday, starting at four or five in the morning, I would skate for three hours before school and another three hours after school," said this 5'2" tall beauty, who was born on October 14, 1966. "Then I'd go home, do homework, eat, sleep and start the same thing all over again the next day. I had a very different childhood because I wasn't going to parties like other kids my age. Skating was my life!"
Naturally, this green-eyed talent was devastated when a knee injury during her early teens forced her to give up skating. While most people might resent devoting their childhood years to a dream that would never come true, not Bridget. In fact, the oldest child of Henry and Judith Levin (Bridget's real last name) doesn't feel she missed out on anything! "I knew skating was what I wanted and that I would have to sacrifice certain things. And I still has a very well-rounded life because I had good relationships with my skating friends," explains Bridget, whose family also includes her two younger brothers, Todd and Garrett. "Most importantly, my parents never pushed me," adds Bridget, who soon found new ambitions, namely dancing and eventually, acting.
"No matter what I do, they love me. As longs as I put all my efforts into what I want to do, they're behind me 100%!"
